Keylor Navas Ready to Defend Place At Real Madrid
Amid rumors of Los Blancos interest in a number of top European goalkeepers, Navas is determined to keep fighting for a place in the Bernabeu.
Keylor Navas is ready to stay at Real Madrid for the next few years, although the La Liga and Champions League champions are regularly on the lookout for top goalkeepers.
Navas won a major position under the bar after Iker Casillas left the club and joined Porto ahead of the 2015/16 season, despite another factor that kept the Costa Rican goalkeeper defensive because Los Blancos failed to get David de Gea from Manchester United at the close of the transfer window.
Until now Madrid still continues to be associated with De Gea, and had gotten a glance at the sensational player Gianluigi Donnarumma before this 18-year-old goalkeeper signed a new contract at AC Milan.
Thibaut Courtois also claimed to be approached Madrid, but Navas still focus on the important things in the field, after the season ended with a champion at home and abroad.
“What happened in the past is gone. This season I am happy, I am calm as usual, “said 30-year-old player told reporters in Madrid coach camp in California.
“I have to stay grounded. It’s not easy to do here. I want to stay for the next few years.
“I enjoyed it, I won here and saw my family very happy here.
“It’s not about learning from mistakes – it will not limit me to keep on increasing.”
